Hot & Strip Waxing

Our therapists use the waxxxpress range of revolutionary hot and strip waxes, pre and post wax products. Manufactured in Australia by world-renowned waxing specialists at Caronlab, waxxxpress products use only the highest quality ingredients, are all Chinese Gum Rosin-free and suitable for even the most sensitive of skins.

Hot wax is spread thickly onto the skin and allowed to dry slightly before it is gently peeled away. This method pulls hair directly from the roots and offers several benefits including fewer in-grown hairs, less breakage and therefore longer re-growth periods. Hot wax also promotes skin hydration and is highly recommended for sensitive areas including intimate waxing. Strip wax is recommended for thicker/less sensitive skin, for example – legs, arms, back, chest, and shoulders. With the strip wax technique, a thin layer of wax is applied to the skin and is then removed using a paper or fabric wax strip.

Our hot wax can remove hair as short as 1mm in length and our strip wax can remove hair as short as 2mm however this generally applies to hair that has had regular waxing. If this is the first time wax or wax in between shaving then we suggest a 4mm growth.

Basic bikini- removes hair from outside of the knicker-line

G-String- removes hair from outside of the G-String line

Brazilian- removes all of the hair from underneath and leaves only a strip, or triangle of hair in front

Hollywood- everything off!

For your comfort during intimate waxing treatments, we always provide a dressing gown and disposable paper knickers for you to change in to if you wish. A towel is also provided to enable is to cover parts of your intimate area while waxing.

Everyone has a different pain threshold and so waxing experiences differ greatly from person to person. Most waxing clients, however, find the treatment more and more comfortable as the hairs become thinner, lighter and sparser with regular waxing treatments. Our specialised hot and strip waxes and expertly trained, experienced therapists make waxing as pain-free as possible.

You may notice a small amount of regrowth after a week or so. It can take up to 4 treatments for your hair to get on a growth cycle that gives best results. To maintain your smooth appearance, we recommend regular waxing every 4 weeks. Since we use a very high quality wax and have highly skilled therapists our treatments should leave you with minimal discomfort. When the treatment is finished the therapist will ensure no wax or residue has been left on the skin, leaving the waxed area smooth, soft and hair-free. Some slight soreness, small bumps and redness are common and perfectly normal temporary reactions, particularly if this is your first wax. These symptoms should subside over 24-48 hours and lessen with each subsequent wax treatment.
