I started my working career as a Junior Clerk at Barclays bank and worked my way up to the role of Regional Senior Management Assistant and Sales Campaign Organiser. Some years after leaving Barclays, I went on to work as a PA, an Accounts Administrator and an HR Facilities Manager.
After years of working in an office, I’d forgotten how much I loved a customer facing role! Being Clinic Manager at face etc… allows me to welcome and engage with our lovely clients and ensure every person who enters the clinic is made to feel special and indulged.
My favourite face etc… treatment has to be the LVL lash lift which makes your natural lashes look amazing and gives you a bright-eyed freshness- even first thing in the morning!
Designing jewellery, blustery winter walks along the beach with my dog, drinking Prosecco in the sun with my lovely friend Brigid and travelling abroad to take in new surroundings and trying new foods!
After completion of a BA Honours in Fashion Marketing and Communication, I spent several years working within the visual retail arena, alongside some of Britain’s favourite high street brands.
Responsible for managing the clinic’s internal and external marketing communications, PR, advertising and events certainly makes for a challenging and varied role! I love the creative freedom that comes with working within a thriving independent business- and that no two days are the same.
Strong brows- whether tinted or pencilled, perfectly-groomed, well-defined brows make such a difference; accentuating your eyes and framing your face.
Family and friends, eBay, Travel and Flea Markets
I was a hairdresser for 28 years and competed in several competitions including the L’oreal Colour Trophy. I obtained an NVQ in Customer Services and went on to run my own hairdressing business.
I enjoy one-to-one contact with clients and supporting the Therapists and Nurses to ensure their appointments run smoothly. I take great pride in maintaining the Reception area so that it is always a pleasant and relaxing environment for our clients to enjoy.
Drink lots of water and always use a good sun screen. Try not to get stressed as this shows in your skin!
My Husband and family, Hot Rod car shows, travel, meeting new people and living life to the full.
I have spent the last 20 years running my own hairdressing business and passed my level 3 certificate before going on to qualify as an assessor. I’ve also supported friends over busy periods in their own salons.
I am very much a people person and love working alongside others who share my passion for the beauty industry. It is fantastic to be a part of such a dedicated, professional team.
I firmly believe in the power of an early night- and thoroughly removing make-up at the end of every day. I also use a separate SPF under my normal moisturizer to protect my skin from the sun’s harmful rays.
I love taking my dogs out for walks, playing- and watching my daughter play netball and any new challenges.
I completed my studies within Business Management and Tourism before going on to work within the hotel industry. From large corporate hotels through to small, independent boutique hotels, my experience within the sector was as varied as it was interesting!
I love to provide the very best customer service and meet new people every day. The face etc… team are great fun to work with and I’m really proud to work within such a beautiful clinic environment.
Laughter
Fitness challenges, snowboarding, running, the sun and colour.
My career began with my studying Graphic Design before moving on to work within a variety PA and HR roles. Prior to joining face etc… I had worked as a PA at Warburtons Bakery, an HR Advisor to Wakefield Council and an Admin Assistant at Next.
I really love my job and the variety of responsibilities that fall within my role; every day is different and the clinic is always a busy, happy place to be. We have such a diverse client base and so many regulars; it’s a fantastic reflection of our service that clients return time and time again.
I believe our eyes are the first thing people notice about us and swear by DermaQuest’s fabulous Eyebrite daily eye cream to keep wrinkles and puffiness at bay.
My 3 children and 2 cats, visiting Stately Homes and Gardens, ‘upcycling’ old furniture and collecting vintage clothing.
After watching my highly experienced sister train a permanent cosmetic technician many years ago, I was astounded at the results and knew that I had to be involved in this specialist field. I went on to train with two prestigious UK companies and now work in numerous clinics throughout the North.
Whether I’m performing medical or beauty enhancements, nothing is more rewarding than seeing how the results give my clients amazing confidence!
Drink plenty of water to maintain hydration and keep the skin fresh and clear. Make time for a self-indulgent half hour and treat yourself to an Elemis exotic cream moisturising mask whilst soaking in a bath, bliss.
I’m a huge Formula 1 fan so whenever possible fly off to catch a race, which combines very nicely with my second most favourite passion of travelling the world, experiencing new and wonderful places, food and wines and meeting new people along the way.
After qualifying, I spent 2 years travelling the world and working as a Therapist on board Royal Caribbean Cruise Liners. In 2007 I returned to dry land and joined face etc… as a Therapist. Several years later, I have gained the knowledge and experience necessary to hold the position of Head Therapist.
My clients! And combining the most advanced technologies with ground-breaking products, to achieve the results and confidence my clients’ desire.
A nice, bright lipstick always makes a statement and brightens a dull day!
Working out at the gym and running, watching Criminal Minds and seeing my Dad’s rock band in concert.
I began my career as a Junior Therapist at Regis at the age of 16. It wasn’t long before I had worked my way up the company and developed a passion for all things skin.
Helping my amazing clients to achieve their beauty and skin aspirations and working within a team of fantastic Therapists, who have also become my best friends.
Eyelash extensions! I’d be lost without them…
Vintage finds, my amazing family and friends, drinking champagne, eating cheese and watching Doctor Who.
Once I had obtained an NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Beauty Therapy, my career in the beauty industry began at Champneys Health Farm, before I moved on to two other well known spas.
I love using my extensive experience to help clients overcome their skin concerns and ensuring that they leave me feeling their skin is plumped and rejuvenated.
I love a healthy glow so I’m a little bit addicted to spray tans! I also love Resurfacers which keep my skin looking healthy and polished.
Creating healthy but delicious food, exercising- especially running and going out for lovely meals with friends and family.
I joined face etc… in 2010, having qualified as a Beauty Therapist 3 years earlier. Since working at the clinic my experience and knowledge has grown immensely and I am proud to offer my clients some of the most advanced treatments available today.
I enjoy building relationships with new clients and look forward to treating my regular clients and ensuring they always leave the clinic happy. I love learning about innovative new treatments and products developing my skills.
3D Lashes give instant WOW factor, widening the eyes and giving amazing definition; whether clients wish to achieve a natural look or serious ‘va-va-voom’, 3D Lash extensions can be tailored to create the perfect look!
Shopping, eating out and spending time with friends.
I completed my Beauty NVQ level 2/3 in 2007 and began my beauty career working within a spa environment. In 2009 I joined the team at face etc… where I spent the next 5 years swotting up on all things skin. I left face etc… in the summer of 2014 to try my hand at care work but soon missed the lovely team, realised my niche was in beauty and returned to the clinic in 2015.
There is nothing more satisfying than using my expertise and knowledge to guide my clients on the treatments and products to help them achieve their beauty goals and the flawless skin they never thought possible. I love being a part of the face etc… team, working together, helping each other and ensuring the clinic is a friendly and lovely place to be.
DermaQuest’s B5 Hydrating Serum gives instant hydration and is a product I couldn’t live without. I also have a monthly resurfacer treatment to help keep my skin clear, plumped, hydrated and smoothed- as well as maintaining a year-round glow.
Spending time with family and friends and girly nights out dancing- I love to dance! I adore travelling to warmer climates, summer BBQ’s in the garden and attending festivals, but I also love winter time and getting snuggled up warm with a good film.
I joined face etc… straight after completing Level 2 and 3 Beauty Therapy at York College. Whilst training, I worked part time as a waitress and also took on work experience in a spa.
I love making my clients feel good about themselves and doing all I can to ensure they leave the clinic feeling relaxed, revitalised and happy. Nothing makes my job more worthwhile than my clients leaving with a smile on their face.
A nice pink blusher can really brighten and lift a complexion, giving skin instant freshness.
Family and friends, Hollyoaks and good Indian takeaway complete with poppadoms!
I spent 2 years training for NVQ Beauty Therapy levels 2 and 3 and once qualified I went on to work at a prestigious York spa. Much of my time at the spa was spent performing indulgent facials and body treatments which became both my passion and niche.
It’s great to be a part of such a friendly team, where everyone is focussed on maintaining and delivering the very highest standards of customer care. The wide variety of treatments offered at face etc… keeps my role interesting and challenging and ensures I continue to develop new skills.
My favourite treatment has to be massage as I believe it can totally transform a person’s mood and reveal a happier, more balanced state of mind.
Synchronised swimming, traveling and spending time with friends.
I joined face etc… in 2014, straight from the Yorkshire College of Beauty Therapy where I graduated with qualifications in ITEC, CIBTAC and CIDESCO- as well as the Student of the Year award.
I love being the person clients look forward to seeing for either their regular treatments or a special indulgent treat. It’s a wonderful feeling seeing my clients leave feeling happy and pampered with a spring in their step!
Invest in your face! Your skin is so important and getting professional skincare advice can really make a huge difference in making the most of your skin.
Make-up, Christmas, my little dog chuck and having a cuppa (or cocktail!) with my best friends
I worked full time within hospitality as part of the front of house team at a busy, family-run hotel. Whilst I really enjoyed the customer services aspect of my role, I had long since dreamed of a career in the beauty industry and took steps to make this a reality by studying for Levels 2 and 3 Beauty Therapy on an evening at York College.
I pride myself on being a ‘people person’ so I naturally love that my role enables me to meet so many interesting people and work together with them to help them feel great about themselves. I love to learn, so it’s very exciting for me to be working within such a high-profile, advanced clinic, where I know I will have the opportunity to build both my skill and knowledge as a Therapist.
When people talk to you, your eyes are the first thing they see- so I believe in making the most of them! I love eyelash extensions to widen the eye, combined with defined brows which work to frame the whole face.
In my spare time I love to be outdoors and enjoy nothing more than taking my Pomeranian, Poppy, for lovely long walks. I also love spending time with my friends and going out for drinks.
I qualified in Level 2 Beauty Therapy before moving on to complete Level 3 in Spa Therapy. After qualifying I began my beauty career working as a Beauty Therapist in a salon outside of York, before jumping at the opportunity to join the highly regarded team at face etc…
Forming a bond with my clients and ensuring each person I treat feels they are both valued and in safe hands are priorities to me in my role. The team at face etc… is absolutely lovely, everyone is so friendly and helpful and have each been supportive in my development.
It’s all about the eyes as far as I’m concerned so lovely long lashes and perfectly preened eyebrows are key.
Spending time with family and friends… and shopping!
After working in the NHS for over 20 years in a variety of clinical specialties and for several years as a Senior Nurse in St James A+E, I decided to combine my passion for beauty with my medical knowledge by joining a leading Harley Street cosmetic surgery company as an aesthetic nurse. When face etc… was in it’s infancy, I worked as a freelance trainer for Q-Med UK (Restylane) training Doctors, Dentists and Nurses in injectables and also sat on the National Steering Committee of the Royal College of Nursing Aesthetic Nurses Forum.
I love driving the business forward and am very proud of our national reputation for excellence and innovative treatments. I get a real buzz from reading wonderful client feedback in our comments book and from listening to the face etc… girls chatting away together on breaks as one happy team.
Always wear sunscreen, get plenty of sleep and smile often!
My beautiful walk to work along the river, trips to the theatre with friends and horse riding.
After graduating in Medicine I went on to specialise in Reconstructive and Plastic surgery, passing the Intercollegiate Speciality examination in Plastic Surgery in 2005, before being appointed as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the Bradford and Huddersfield Royal Infirmary in 2007.
I continue to perform Plastic Surgery at the Infirmary, specialising specifically in microsurgical reconstruction following cancer. Alongside this, I practise privately at Spire Elland Hospital, where my work is concerned with everything from facial cosmetic surgery, to body contouring surgery. Following mutual recommendation, face etc… Director Sharon invited me to consult her valued clients who were considering Cosmetic Surgery. I visit the clinic periodically to speak to interested parties within the friendly, familiar environment they know and love.
Gosh, that would be telling! Ha ha!
Spending time with family and friends, sharing good food and wine
I qualified as a midwife in 1996 and spent the early years of my career working between the UK and Saudi Arabia. My fascination with aesthetics developed when I became aware of the ageing of my own skin; I trained as an Aesthetic Nurse on Harley Street and was later head-hunted by face etc…
There’s nothing like witnessing the new found confidence and delight my clients experience following aesthetic procedures, whether I have smoothed lines, removed thread veins or sculpted a silhouette. And it’s great to do my work in such a prestigious clinic, alongside amazing colleagues.
Use Retriderm; a total wonder product with decades of clinical data supporting its’ efficacy. It not only helps skin cell turnover and boosts collagen production to keep skin firm and youthful, but also has great anti-inflammatory effects making it great for acne prone skin too.
Spending time with family and friends, travelling to new places around the world, mid-century furniture and design and last but by no means least Herbert, my Exotic Shorthair blue tabby cat.
During my 15 year career as a Registered General Nurse, I worked across a variety of areas before finding my niche as an Aesthetic Nurse Prescriber in 2000.
My role combines all that I am truly passionate about; satisfying my fascination for all things ‘skin’, along with my desire to help my clients achieve both the looks and confidence they never thought possible. I will never tire of turning my client’s dreams in to a reality.
Botox… shhh! And get plenty of sleep, drink lots of water and wear SPF religiously.
Spending time with family, cooking for friends and running.
I spent the first 10 years of my medical career working in A&E as a Senior Sister and Advanced Nurse Practitioner, before spending a further 3 years within these roles in a walk-in-centre environment. I went on to train as a Nurse Independent Prescriber, completing a BSc hons in Nursing and an Advancer Nurse Practitioner post graduate diploma, before studying at masters level. Since my extensive studies I have spent several years practising within aesthetics as a Nurse Independent Prescriber.
My role is all about making a difference to my clients, improving their overall confidence and self-esteem. It’s a wonderful feeling being able to resolve a particular issue or concern that has bothered a person for many years, particularly when they though this may never be possible.
Botox treatment for peri-oral lines (around the mouth) is one of my favourite beauty secrets, achieving a natural ‘pout’ effect without the need for fillers.
Spending time with my children and husband, seeing friends and running.
